Easter Seals Martial Arts Tournament

Saturday, May 7th 2016, the 9th Annual Easter Seals Martial Arts Tournament will be held at the Nashwaaksis Field House, 324 Fulton Ave, Fredericton, NB E3A 0A1. This is a unique event is a great opportunity for students of the Martial Arts, to test and display their skills, while helping to fundraise for vital services in our province.
The philosophy of the martial arts community (which includes discipline, healthy competition, healthy lifestyles and the opportunities for personal growth), provides the basis for this event. This successful event creates awareness for the participating schools, offers students the opportunity to compete in a positive friendship tournament and raises much needed funds. Participate or join us as a spectator!
Easter Seals provides many programs for the community:
- Equipment Recycle program – refurbishes and loans over 5,000 pieces of specialized mobility equipment annually
- Assistive Technology Program provides technological equipment in the schools and community
- Toy Library Program provides specialized toys on loan to parents
- The fully accessible Camp Rotary grants hundreds of people with disabilities in New Brunswick the opportunity to benefit from an authentic camp experience
- The Abilities Program engages youth with physical disabilities in a variety of recreational activities including Sledge Hockey and Wheelchair Basketball
General Admission $5
Participants: early registration $30 / $40 at the door
Doors open at 8:15 am / Start Time is at 9:30 am
